What this tool does
Appends a new column to the right of an existing TSV — for adding a column to a tab-separated table.
How to use it
- Paste the source TSV in the first box.
- Put the new column, header and values, in the second box.
- Run it and confirm the column separation held.
Worked example
Appending a c column to a TSV with a and b gives three columns, with the data row aligned across three tab-separated fields.
Frequently asked questions
- What if a value contains a tab?
- Column boundaries shift. Replace tabs inside values, for example with spaces, before appending.
- How do I switch to CSV?
- Feed the result into the CSV ↔ TSV converter to get comma separation.
What this tool does not cover
Input is processed in your browser. It appends by row position and does not join on a key.
