What this tool does
Computes the commission amount and the net left after it, from sales and a commission rate. Useful for agency fees, brokerage, and sales incentives.
How to use it
- Enter the sales figure the commission is based on. Check the contract for whether it includes tax.
- Enter the commission rate as a percentage.
- Run it to get the commission amount and the net.
Worked example
Sales of 10,000 at 5% give a commission of 500 and a net of 9,500.

- Can it apply tiered rates?
- It computes a single rate only. For tiers, run each band separately and add the results.
- How is tax handled?
- The tool does not handle tax. If your contract adds tax on the commission, apply the rate to the commission amount separately — the sales tax calculator helps.
