What browser-based file processing means

Selecting a file grants the browser access to that file. Ordinary Murphkitsch image and PDF tools process the data in the current tab without sending it to our server. Selecting a file and uploading it are different actions.

Practical limits depend on your device and browser memory. A small compressed image can occupy substantial memory when decoded into pixels. Process large files in smaller batches.

IP and DNS lookups require external network responses. The query is sent to an outside service. Check the tool description and privacy policy for the requests involved.
